Overview: I stumbled on this website about 5 years ago, and since then, I have become an avid anime collector, thanks to Animecollector.com. The products and services offered on this website are second to none. You will find a mix if everything here, from the most popular and common, to the rare and unique.

Service: The service provided by the owner is both professional and knowledgable. The owner knows that customer service is above all the most important aspect, and proves time and time again that any questions or comments you have will be replied to in a timely manner and with as must info that you may require to clarify things. Not only will the owner answer your questions, the owner will also provide recommendations that wil aid any customer in any decision making process. Ultimately, the owner makes the customer in charge of what they want, but armed with as much knowledge as required prior to any transactions being made.

Quality and Products Offered: As stated earlier, Animecollector.com has a wide blend of titles that customers may be looking for. Action, comedy, drama, you name it, and this website has it. Quality of the product is also very good. In 5 years that I've been involved with Animecollector.com, I have never received a faulty product. Everything passes in my eyes, even by the high standards that similar North American products are set at.

Overall: Animecollector.com is the best place for those who consider anime "the Ultimate Hobby on Earth". Great prices, great quality, and great service makes this site a gold mine for other anime enthusiasts. You will not be disappointed.

Webpage: I really like that a picture and description exists for each DVD offered. Having also an overview table with all the relevant details simplifies DVD selection. Knowing a DVD's "availability" (Out of Stock) and being able to order over a special request is a great option. What really helps is the alternate name information in case a tile was published under a different name.

Ordering: Since I handle my order always over mail I can't comment on the web interface.

I highly appreciate the interaction with my mail contact for
- counseling me on known issues (e.g. missing episodes, quality issue)
- providing info on English dubbed version and new incoming DVD
- recommending order changes in case 2 series are now available within 1 set

Mail is highly convenient since it provides a print out that
- is accepted by my customs office (in case they interfere with shipping)
- contains % off and free gift information (important when discussing with customs)
- has a shipping rate not mixed with the send package price (customs will use only the DVD value)

Getting already a prepared world pay ID is nice. However there exists an improvement opportunity by doing a lookup on the ID and loading also the customer address into it.

Shipment: I always use "Regular Airmail" it never failed me since 2003 where I started to order DVD here. Shipment time differs between 5-16 days and could be longer in case customs interferes. A larger order is send as several packages; the package value was always within the customs "free" range per package. Customs seems to ignore the green package declaration information and might complain about the "gift" selection used for online orders. The DVDs within the package have all price labels so in case customs opens and checks the value it might be send directly ahead. The package itself protects the DVD very good. BTW the Malaysian postal stamp looks also nice. I always get informed via mail when a package was send out and can confirm its arrival.

DVD: All DVD are region free. The DVD quality was since my 2009 orders 100% Ok. In case the DVD label was "stamped" to deep or another failure lead to "read" access issues I simply requested and received a tested and working copy.

Overall the cost/performance ratio at anmecollector is far better than on other DVD order pages I used in the past. But that's up to everybody themselves to decide.
